Verbos irregulares

Los verbos irregulares se convierten a menudo en una prueba seria para quienes estudian inglés. Es interesante que si sigues la gramática de algunos hablantes nativos en redes sociales y foros, puedes ver que tienden a cometer errores en esta área.

¿Qué son los verbos irregulares? Hay aproximadamente 470 verbos del idioma inglés, la segunda y tercera formas son absolutamente diferentes o, a veces, iguales.

Los verbos regulares se forman de acuerdo con esto:

Past Simple, Past Participle = inf. + (e)d: to like – liked – liked, to watch – watched – watched, to cry – cried – cried.

Verbos irregulares:

Past Simple, Past Participle = inf. + ???: to be – was – been, to do – did – done, to bust – bust – bust.

Sin embargo, es importante recordar que, contrariamente a la misma ortografía en las tres formas, la pronunciación de cada uno puede ser diferente.

Por ejemplo:

to read [ri:d] – read [red] – read [red]

Algunas veces es suficiente aprender los verbos irregulares más comunes.
